Tailor your CV to the job you are applying for! Research the role and the company to help you match your CV as perfectly as possible to their requirements. This effort makes you stand out!
Don’t ramble
Employers don’t care if you are a sociable person who enjoys knitting in your spare time, so include the hobbies or interest that are relevant to the soft skills of the job you are applying for.
Use numbers
When listing your experience, include the number of years you have worked in field - e.g. ‘A Marketing Manager with over 10 years’ experience working in the hospitality industry... ’.
