Finance Manager

Alcester • Permanent • Full Time • £30k (negotiable DOE)

Arden Personnel are recruiting for a Finance Manager for our client based in Alcester. 

Day to day duties are as follows:

The purpose of this role is:

  • To monitor the day to day financial operations within the company
  • Develop and oversee relationships with the external accountants who provide the payroll, VAT and annual accounts services
  • Track the company’s financial status to identify areas for improvement
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for Management, including the completion of the appropriate journals
  • Prepare budgets and forecasts and report against them
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Undertake the company’s bookkeeping requirement using Xero
  • Supplier Management
  • Work with the business to establish and maintain sound price-book policies and procedures for the Sales Team
  • Establish and maintain a solid oversight and process for the maintenance of Customer contracts

 The Successful Finance Manager must have the following skills/experience

  • Fully qualified / part qualified finance manager (AAT, CIMA, ACA, ACCA, IFA or equivalent) or QBE
  • Experienced in Xero Accountancy platform, UK accounting standards, AP and AR
  • Fully proficient in Excel (and familiarity with other MS office applications)
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with colleagues at all levels and within different functions in a multi-national environment
  • Strong commercial awareness and business acumen
  • Accurate and methodical in data analysis
  • Ability to prioritise and handle multiple competing priorities
  • Able to work under pressure with a strong desire to achieve targets
  • A strong work ethic and team orientation
  • Fluent in English (both written & spoken)
